RE: Wiston Steam Rally (10th – 11th July 2021)
It is with much sorrow that we must announce our much loved event ‘Wiston Steam Rally’ will not be taking place this year. 2021 would have marked our 10th Anniversary at Wiston Estate and we are deeply saddened to not be organising an event for another year.
The committee has been looking at the possibility of running a Covid safe event in 2021, in line with all measures that the Government’s SERP produces, regrettably due to circumstances beyond our control this is now not possible.
Following discussions with Wiston Estate, we have unfortunately been unable to reach a mutual agreement at this moment in time and therefore must also confirm that our 2019 Rally was our final event at Wiston Estate and our tenure at the Estate has sadly drawn to a close.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Goring family for their continued support and for trusting us with the use of their beautiful Family home as our venue for the past 9 years.
Sussex Steam Shows Ltd have organised the Premier steam event in Sussex for over 10 years, raising much needed funds for local and national charities and providing a fantastic day out for families and we will continue to do this.
